A Successful Start to the Season: MOTORRAD MESSE LEIPZIG Impresses with Premieres, New Products, and Live Action

25. June 2026

Brand presence, test drives, and program highlights over the three days of the trade show.

Over the course of three days, Leipzig hosted top brands, real motorcycles, and a varied program. Held early in February, the MOTORRAD MESSE LEIPZIG made a strong statement to the scene with premieres, test rides, and show highlights in the hall and on the outdoor grounds.

Leipzig/Dortmund, February 9, 2026 – Three days of the motorcycle world up close and personal: From February 6 to 8, 2026, the MOTORRAD MESSE LEIPZIG once again established its early February date as a key event for the motorcycle industry. Visitors took advantage of the opportunity, even before the traditional start of the season in March, to get a comprehensive overview of new models, premieres, and trends in Leipzig, to compare them directly, and to test-ride them. Once again, Leipzig became the place for genuine encounters, personalized advice, and hands-on product experiences—a chance to see bikes and gear in person, examine details up close, and connect with brands, experts, and the motorcycle community.

Top Brands. Real Bikes. The Full Spectrum of the Motorcycle World
In 2026, the MOTORRAD MESSE LEIPZIG once again showcased the diversity of the industry. It ranged from manufacturers and importers to dealers, as well as equipment, safety gear, and apparel. Among the exhibitors were Triumph, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Kove, Royal Enfield, KTM, Harley-Davidson, Ducati, CFMOTO, as well as BENDA, JAWA, GOES, Benelli, Brixton, and Segway. The lineup was rounded out by exhibitors and brands from the tire, safety, and apparel sectors, including, for example, Mitas Moto (Yokohama), ABUS, Triumph Apparel, and MotoLive Leipzig – Held Center Leipzig.

A Fresh Impulse Thanks to a New Organizer Structure
With the 2026 edition, Leipzig is also taking another step in the realignment of the two motorcycle trade show formats in Leipzig and Dortmund, which Messe Dortmund GmbH has taken over as the organizer. The goal is to further develop the trade shows in terms of content and organization, refine their formats, and visibly modernize the trade show experience with a clear focus on the community, fresh ideas in the program, and a strengthened brand presence. “For many motorcyclists, the early February date is the ideal kickoff to the season: You get to see the latest innovations early on, get advice, and take inspiration home before things really get going in March,” says Sabine Loos, CEO of the Westfalenhallen Group. “The fact that we are now responsible for both Leipzig and Dortmund under one roof lays the foundation for consistently developing both events with fresh ideas and a clear understanding of what the scene expects.”

The return of familiar names and many new offerings on the show floor
A clear sign of the show’s continued growth was the presence of major manufacturers who had not been represented at every edition of the Leipzig show in recent years: Suzuki Germany, Harley-Davidson, and Ducati Leipzig, among others, were back in the lineup in 2026, bolstering the variety of models available at the start of the season. Many exhibitors used the Leipzig show to offer early glimpses into the new season with model updates, premieres, and technical advancements. One example of this was Harley-Davidson, which held a German premiere: The 2026 Harley-Davidson CVO® Street Glide® ST was on display for the first time at a trade show in Germany in Leipzig.

Program & Action: Compact, Easy to Plan, and Audience-Focused
To complement the exhibition, the MOTORRAD MESSE LEIPZIG offered a program with a clear daily structure. From 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., program highlights alternated on stage and in the indoor and outdoor areas, ensuring variety and live moments throughout the day. This was also reflected in the mix of visitors on site: from young riders to families to fans of classic bikes —spanning all generations.

Over the course of all three days, the stage featured a compact lineup of events with brand slots and brief updates, complemented by the daily motorcycle expert talk, which provided insight into topics related to the start of the season, trends, and technology. In the indoor area, the Circus Trial Show delivered the highlights: trial acrobatics and technically precise maneuvers over obstacles, presented as a cohesive show format and thus easily accessible to families and first-time visitors alike. Outside, the Supermoto Show on the outdoor grounds near Hall 4 brought a racing atmosphere to the venue: In demo runs, visitors could experience drifting skills and race simulations, featuring riders from the International German Supermoto Championship such as Max Orbanz, as well as other well-known names from the announced lineup.

“Our goal is for visitors to the trade show to gain something tangible: real advice, real bikes, and real help in making decisions. This includes a program that reflects the diversity of the motorcycle world—from families and young riders to DIY enthusiasts and longtime fans, all the way to dealers, importers, and experts —and meaningfully complements the trade show experience with highlights,” emphasizes Sabine Loos. “Leipzig has laid a solid foundation for this. We’re taking these ideas with us to consistently continue revitalizing the formats in Leipzig and Dortmund.”
