Maarten Spicks Wins the CFMOTO 450 MT

From his first test ride to owning his own adventure bike: For Maarten Spicks, MOTORRÄDER DORTMUND 2026 will remain a very special memory. A longtime attendee of the show, he won the CFMOTO 450 MT, which was displayed at the North Entrance during the event and subsequently raffled off among all eligible visitors.

Dortmund, June 10, 2026 – Four days of the show, five halls, 102,000 visitors, and a season opener that left a lasting impression: MOTORRÄDER DORTMUND 2026 has once again demonstrated why Dortmund is the must-attend event in the spring for motorcycle fans. In addition to new models, a wide variety of brands, accessories, apparel, shows, and hands-on activities, the raffle for a CFMOTO 450 MT also drew extra attention. The winner has now been announced: Maarten Spicks can look forward to taking home the adventure bike.

“I find the show exciting every year all over again. You can see how motorcycles are evolving and how people of all ages come together here to enjoy the day,” says 22-year-old Maarten Spicks. His first visit to MOTORRÄDER DORTMUND was several years ago. He attended for the first time in 2020, back when he didn’t have a driver’s license yet. His first time test-sitting on a motorcycle was particularly memorable for him: “You imagine yourself riding down the street and feeling free. In the end, that inspired me to get my A2 driver’s license when I was 18.”

A Trade Show Experience with a Personal Story

The winner’s story illustrates the role that MOTORRÄDER DORTMUND plays for many visitors: It serves as a showcase for new products, a gathering place for the community, and, at the same time, a place where enthusiasm for motorcycling is sparked. Spicks has been attending the show for several years and particularly values the direct contact with brands and dealers. “What I love most are the booths and the bikes. Just test-riding them and talking to the dealers about changes and technical specifications,” he says.

In 2026, MOTORRÄDER DORTMUND once again placed a strong emphasis on hands-on experiences. Among the crowd favorites were the TEST & RIDE AREA, the RACING AREA, the KIDS PARCOURS, the ADVENTURE & TRAVEL STAGE, as well as numerous shows, special exhibits, and interactive activities. For Spicks, the opportunity to get to know motorcycles firsthand at the show was particularly exciting: “That’s how you get to know a motorcycle even better and find out for yourself if it’s really the right fit.”

Adventure Bike for Your Next Trip

With the CFMOTO 450 MT, Maarten Spicks gets a versatile adventure bike that fits right in with the world of travel and adventure at MOTORRÄDER DORTMUND. The bike is powered by a 449-cm³ twin-cylinder engine producing 42 PS and delivering a maximum torque of 42 Nm. With a 21-inch front wheel, an 18-inch rear wheel, 200 millimeters of suspension travel front and rear, and 220 millimeters of ground clearance, the CFMOTO 450 MT is just as well-suited for touring as it is for adventures off the beaten path. Spicks hasn’t yet decided which major tour he’ll take first on his new motorcycle. But he already has one direction in mind: “I’ll just go with the flow. But I’m sure it will lead me to the Sauerland or even further.”

The raffle for the CFMOTO 450 MT was part of this year’s ticket benefits at MOTORRÄDER DORTMUND. Eligible to participate were individuals 18 years of age or older who are permanent residents of Germany or Austria, who had purchased a valid, personalized trade show ticket, and who hold a valid Class A or A2 driver’s license.
