MOTORCYCLES DORTMUND 2026: Two outstanding days to kick off the season for the consumer trade show.

Dortmund, March 6, 2026 – After two days of the trade show, the interim assessment is very clear: MOTORRÄDER DORTMUND 2026 has gotten off to an outstanding start this trade show year. The expansion to five exhibition halls, the noticeably larger exhibition space, and the huge concentration of motorcycles create ideal conditions for the start of the season and provide visitors with guidance, advice, and opportunities to connect. Add to that perfect spring weather: Many motorcyclists are arriving on two wheels and reaping a double benefit—a pleasant ride and free parking for motorcycles (Parking Lot A3). At the same time, the first two days demonstrate just how enthusiastically the community is embracing the season opener in Dortmund—in the halls, on the adjacent grounds, and through direct interaction with manufacturers, dealers, and the motorcycle scene. .

Five exhibition halls, more exhibition space: Expansion visible in the trade fair image
With five exhibition halls, approximately 300 exhibitors, and around 25 two-wheeler brands, Dortmund offers a brand landscape for the start of the season that makes direct comparison particularly easy. Manufacturers are not only presenting individual highlights, but also showcasing their models and thematic worlds in a breadth that provides a comprehensive overview of the new season. The additional hall simultaneously enhances the experience and, above all, creates more exhibition space for brands, product ranges, technology, and accessories. This very mix of new products, expert advice, community exchange, and test ride opportunities characterizes the start in Dortmund and ensures a high-quality experience in all halls.

Julius Ilmberger Junior (Ilmberger Carbon) emphasizes: “MOTORRÄDER DORTMUND marks the start of the new season. The audience in the Ruhr region is particularly knowledgeable, down-to-earth, and relaxed. At the same time, the trade show has a huge catchment area, and as a major spring event, it once again brings all the major manufacturers and accessory brands together in one place. Anyone looking to get a sense of what’s in store for the upcoming motorcycle season can get an overview of the entire range here.”

Martin Driehaus (Kawasaki Germany) adds: “Kawasaki has had close ties with MOTORRÄDER DORTMUND from the very beginning. We always enjoy exhibiting in Dortmund because we meet an interesting and knowledgeable audience here, and it’s simply a pleasure to interact with them.”

Additional experiential formats: Halls 6 and 3 will provide fresh momentum in 2026
Among the most important new features of this edition is the new Hall 6, which is being integrated into the trade show concept as a standalone component for the first time. The hall brings together interactive offerings such as the TEST & RIDE AREA, an organized test track on the fairgrounds. It is complemented by the KIDS PARCOURS (for ages 6 and up) as well as show formats that visibly energize the fair atmosphere.

After the first two days, the newly redesigned Hall 3 has also become a central hotspot. It combines a diverse range of brands with programming and community elements, including the Main Stage (powered by MOTORRAD) and the RACING AREA, which offers a shared racing experience in groups. The REVIERBIKE SPECIAL SHOW adds visual appeal with selected custom builds, now featuring, for the first time, elaborately customized scooters and mopeds.

Travel, adventure and scene: focus for many trade fair visitors
This year, travel, tourism, and adventure remain a major focus for many bikers. The ADVENTURE & TRAVEL STAGE brings together tour ideas and provides inspiration for the upcoming season with firsthand accounts and stunning visuals. The special exhibition HIDDEN CHAMPIONS adds further highlights: The PS.SPEICHER museum showcases rare motorcycles spanning several decades.

Weekend preview: Bike Woman of the Year on Saturday
On Saturday (March 7, 2026), the trade fair will also send a strong community message with the “Bike Woman of the Year” award . “bike & business” will be awarding the prize for the ninth time.
